My brother got the game, (Yay!) and his sound doesn't work, no sounds play within the game, but his music was playing and working on his computer.

Have you tried looking at FAQs, troubleshooting guides, support pages, ANYTHING AT ALL, or did you just post here, too lazy to look it up.

I figured out that his GMod is out of date, the TF2 blood shows up instead of HL2. Also, I cannot join his LAN games, it says the server isn't responding.
