It should be able to work. Are we talking iBook or Desktop. If we are talking iBook you are either cheap or a total douche bag for wanting support for your crappy outdated laptop. But your stupid for thinking it would get a lot more players. Not only does a brand not change how many computer users would consider playing with bricks online, but also G4 computers are getting less and less users due to Intel Macs.
