Author Topic: I'll pay for a Brick Generator  (Read 2054 times)

At least in cookies.

For the love of god I can't handle just using the standard brick set anymore.

Give me brick gen!

Make them yourself, I'll make a 2x4 now.

Code: [Select]
2 4 3
BRICK
OMG!

Explain this... this... brick... thing.
I am perplexed.

Get back to me when that actually works.

We need a complex brick generator, so we can specify points, and set faces easily.

Oh definitely, so that we can lock the vertices at the apex of the angular motion through the third law of Kovosky's Basic Notions while still considering the inverse reactions to the disproportionate fluid motion through timespace.

What are you talking about?

Now the odd shapes, like ramps, I dunno, but seriously, that's how the 2x4's BLB file is done, simple, right?  But you need a script to execute the brick.

Would be cool, we don't need it, but it would be cool.

Come to think of it, this is a lot like the Editor Wand for RTB. It's not specifically the EW, but with the Brick Creator, you essentially don't need to take time building floors or walls for your house. Think of it, entire houses would start being made out of less than 100 bricks. Is this what you really want?

You can download new bricksets from Add-On's forum.

All RTB's Editor Wand did was stretch brick models, not possible in Retail.

And Marcems code works:
  • 1. Make a .txt
  • 2. Put the 2 lines of codein it
  • 3. Change the .txt to .blb
  • 4. Put in folder with other .blb's
There, 2x4x3 (No one seemed to have explained this...so I did)

I helped make the original (Simple, User-Made) Brick Generator...I still can't understand the complex bricks XD

Well the coomplex and the simple bricks are bound to a static grid, as you can see the smallest unit of the grid, it's the height of a plate i guess. It's not that complex. but it's a extremly nice idea for saving ressources :)

It's called NOTEPAD.

NOTE: The last number goes by flats, so it'd be a normal 2x4.
