Author Topic: Proposal for the Add-Ons Section  (Read 897 times)

How about separating the Add-Ons Section?

Yea I know, Fail Bin. It's Good, but lacks something

I'd say make 3-5 Sections for add-ons.

- Staff's Choice Add-Ons

Only Admins can post topics and move topics here, but the general public can post replies

- Community's Best Choice Add-Ons

Also, only Admins can move topics here. The Good Add-Ons who get the most community's favorites.

- Complete and Tested Add-Ons

Admins/Staff/Beta Testers/Moderators/etc. can put Add-Ons that are quality tested, completely looked upon, checked if working, checked stability, etc. You name it. Anyone can reply, but not everyone can start a topic.

- Add-Ons under Review

ANYONE can post Add-Ons. Here, people get to show the community their add-ons, and this is the section for the general public to post. Add-ons here are posted. This is where add-ons start.

- Modification Projects

I've seen the difficulty of different types of topics mingling the Modification Section, like, Questions are mixed, projects, previews, etc. It's not really a good idea to mix all different kinds of topics. IMO, It's better to separate Projects because it'll be ALOT easier for people to join/look/develop projects, which helps in the improvement of Blockland. Anyone can post, start, reply to a topic. Fail Projects or Incosistent ones should be put to the fail bin.

- Fail Bin

Anything trash, low quality, spam-like, sucky add-ons go die here and get locked forever.

Now if you have some other ideas you can share it here. We might be able to help Blockland's improvement.

Also, we need more Moderators. I don't know how BS will choose the ones who are worthy, because most people in this forum are just mere kids.

Bleh, doubt it will happen anyway.

Probably not going to happen, especially when RTB2 is going to have all that crap.

I miss bleh :(

Well are you just going to leave the original Blockland forums polluted with fail add-ons and probably making people download all crap, and actually limiting the efficiency of users?

I know there will be RTB2, but the original Blockland forum is where most players start at, and you watch them have difficulty? That could pose a risk of disatisfaction.

Yes! Badspot must do this!

See?! That's living proof that most people don't want improvement. Maybe someday, some people will be brave enough to make moves to improve this game. This game has alot of potential, don't limit it.

Damn.

See?! That's living proof that most people don't want improvement.
Lmao, RTB is living proof that most people DO WANT improvement. What're you going on about?

Here, not in RTB. I know RTB will add one of the greatest improvements in blockland. I'm just talking the things here in the ye old community

I'm a realistic optimist.  I hope for positive change; I want positive change; I know when such change is not going to come.

Badspot is probably not going to change anything in the Add-Ons section.  Hopefully, most Add-Ons will be through the RTB site.  At the RTB site, you have developers that are interested in working on the website.  Badspot would rather spend time improving the game, and that's what we need him to be doing.

So we'd have to promote RTB first here in Blockland so that players will know?

Well, it would be a good thing, cause it makes many things better, beginning with the point that very many idiots mess with the add-on file names and not ending with anything.
