Author Topic: camera for the wrench events  (Read 1730 times)

ill give a  :cookie: for who ever can make a camera wrench event(if possible) i know this would probley be  hard to make and might take along time but if you could that would be relly cool  :cookieMonster:

Yeah, like you'd set up a camera somewhere near a door. So the event on the door would be like:
OnActivate/NamedBrick: Camera/TakePicture
And the pictures would be like Ctrl+P pictures, so if you go to the folder with them in it, you can see the pictures while playing. :P

and also a security camera would be nice

You could just make a camera-looking decal for a 1x1 brick, and plant it in the corner of the room. :P

Nicel, go die in a fire, not possible without Torque changes.

Probably possible, it'd be like using /spy on a brick.

Notice what they say?
They want a brick to take pictures, which I doubt is possible.

/spy the brick then ctrl p

If it wasnt possible, how was this created?

Video editing software. If there was a portal mod like that back then, everyone would have known about it.

how do you /spy a brick?
by using this script, once it's made :P

Ya, video editing.

And /spy'ing people means a player is watching and then they can ctrl-P. What you're asking is that a code take a picture like this, which is a much different thing...

It would be very possible. However, both the client and the server would need the mod.
Very quickly set the player's camera's transform to the brick's, and tell the client to take a screenshot, and put them back to the player.

would it be possible to set the camer to a brick by events (in first person) and then press a key to stop viewing (go back to normal view)?
