BlockGate Episode 1

This is the First episode of the Episodes of BlockGate.

The episode is about a person that haves a lab with a tele-door to the real earth.

You won't see the earth at this episode, but it will come in Episode 2 so you have to wait.

The episode is inspired by StarGate and got much of the same sounds.

This is a "TheBlockStarProduction" episode.

I made a BlockGate back in V8.

DId I watch some thing completely different from every one else? It was awful. He played the same song 4 times over and over... the scenery was good but that about the only thing that was decent other then the over use of the text effects.

Compared to the heap of crap that is the rest of BL machinma, this short is surprisingly good.

I would have liked to see more character development and a plot. As far as those 2 elements are concerned, this seems more like a trailer.

Good job on avoiding the deadly "walking camera" but you should really cut out some of the unnecessary walking scenes and the whole "lets watch him push every button on the console" thing was also unneeded.

I think its ok that you used a simple door and bright light for the portal, but I would embellish it more. Put it on a pedestal...maybe give it some fog coming out or have some glowing lights near it.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that I am really impressed considering this is your first piece.

I know the music comes again and again one time cause it was best like that, since we didn't wanted to use very much time to find music but we will try to make it better in episode 2.
