How do you bypass Error 1925?

I know I shouldn't, but I want to play Half-Life 2 on my school comp. The problem is though, that when it gets toward the end of the installation of STEAM, it stops it. After the damn thing stops it, it goes:

Error 1925

You do not have sufficient privileges to install this program.
Please log in as administrator and try again.


I WANT TO BYPASS THIS BULLstuff!


P.S.: It's a school laptop i'm using. We I can modify it however we want. Just as long as we return it the way we got it.

DAMN! I wanted to be able to play my HL2 on pep-band trips. I'm a freshman. It gets pretty damn boring going 2 hours to Walla Walla from Tekoa.
