That brings up another question I forgot to post. What OS should I get?  You must give at least five reasons to get that OS. Please don't start a war.

Vista would probably be the best way to go, as most people use it, and XP will eventually become too obsolete to use newer things on.

So apart from the mindless bandwagon mentality, what reason(s) do you have for saying "vista sucks".

Here are a few of my reasons for liking Vista:

• New interface takes advantage of modern hardware and is fun and cool to use.
• No need to use winzip or other extractors to open zip files, just double click like a normal folder
• DX10 support
• 64 Bit support (and hence support for 4GB+ of RAM
• A program crash doesn't crash the whole computer, it just takes you back to the desktop
• 99% backwards compatible with software. No issues for me so far

Obviously there are other reasons to like Vista too.
