Well he's the literal sense of a doorman. Now yes, I understand for Doorman's avatars I made him a door, but I think that THIS kind of doorman is the doorman doorman was thinking of. Doorman.
Now as for villains go, I have a few set up as reoccurring, but I'll say this: In the first issue no costumed villains will appear, only some minor thugs. I'll be two busy telling Doorman's story rather than starting a whole different story for a villain as well. I mean I could do it, but could the reader follow all that? I'm not sure about some of you ... :D
Dr. Tails is an idea that I'll consider, and "The Hunter" could be a possible villain. Though Doorman won't have any sidekicks, he seems too juvenile of a character (as I'm writing him this way, no offense to the real Doorman) to be a mentor.
As for a basic story, (without spoilers) I'll give you the lowdown of the origin:
The guy on the cover is Captain Blockland. He was a great hero of New York until his sudden death. He dies in Doorman's arms and give him what he calls a PowerBrick. This magical (supposedly magical) brick (who's origins will probably be revealed in later issues) gives Doorman every power Captain Blockland had. Doorman, being a door man asks Captain Blockland:
"I can't be a super hero, I'm just a door man."
"No. You're the Doorman"
Thus the saga begins. However I'm at a writer's block on what powers Doorman will have, and will probably leave that to a vote.
Also, make some suggestions for story ideas if you like, all is welcome. :D
