You can use it to select brick that you want to apply the same effect to. Like if I select 5 bricks, by hitting it with something, and apply an event or spray, it will apply to all 5.

why hit a bunch of bricks and then paint one when you can just paint all of them in the first place? :o

I mean you can apply other stuff than colors. Collision, rendering, raycasting, events, particles, light, items. etc
