no, just nothing is backwards compatible. if your not a gamer though it might be worth it
Is XP is working fine for you, I see no reason to switch. With all the anti Vista cigarettes running around most programs are designed with XP in mind anyway. If you play anything with the magical power of DX10 you'd have to switch obviously, but once again all those games come in DX9 too. They just don't look as good.If you use more than 4GB RAM(System total) you'll want Vista 64 bit because XP 64 is lol.
I always thought the max for 32-bit was 2GB RAM.
Vista's good if you have a good enough computer, especially because of DX10.XP is only good if your computer can't handle Vista or high qualities, that's why I use XP :(Extra tip for Vista: Don't get Home Basic, Business or the ones that suck. Go for something like Ultimate.
