Okay, here's my dilemma:

I want a fun MMO to play, yet not grindingly addictive (read: I get to keep my life). I have £200 to spend, but want to keep a bit of it. The options are: LotRO, WAR (unreleased), StarWarsGalaxies and Guild Wars. Here's a list of Pros and Cons I've written up.

LotrO
Pros:
Best looking out of the lot.
I'm interested in it most. (LOTS.)
Cons:
Maybe too addictive.
Will need to upgrade my computer and buy expansion (£160).

WAR
Pros:
Friends are all going to get it.
Less money required than LotRO.
Looks better than other MMOs, somehow...
Cons:
Don't know if I'll like it (:3)
Must wait.
Maybe too grindy / WoW-like. (£40 + monthly sub.)

Star Wars Galaxies
Pros:
It's Star Wars?
Some people I know play it.
Cons:
It's ancient!
High priced monthly subscription. (£40 + monthly sub.)

Guild Wars.

No monthly fee.

I hear it's good, and since there is no monthly fee, you'll have a stuffload of that £200 left.

Does it absolutely have to be an MMO? At one time I thought I would want to start getting back to them, but then I decided against it.

Idunno. I suppose I could start swimming again :\

But I still want to play one of these (they all look good) and I can't choose. IT MUST BE ONE OF THESE :D

I don't have experience with any of said MMO's. I only recommended GW obviously, because there is no monthly fee.

The only useful advice I can give you is to:

A. Sleep on it, decide the next day.
B. Go a few days/week(s) and decide if you really want to bother with an MMO or not.

I'm giving each game a day of a trial. My friend has a beta of WAR. I guess then I'll make a more informed decision :S I scared. I feel like my money could just walk out my top drawer in my room. My Postcode is....

I'm going for LotRO. It's most expensive but most fun, and it keeps getting moar epic.
