SERIOUSNET.

INTERBUSINESS.

i realy cant help but agree, i realy get annoyed with the amount of people (usually older members) who just absolutely go mental at a noobs mistake, yes you can blame the noobs for not reading the instruction's but it's just going to happen, blockland is getting bigger and it's community is getting bigger, people will make mistakes LIVE WITH IT! the thing is our community is getting bigger but we don't act like a community, yes the noobs don't help with all of their accursed flaming and bad grammar but the pro's still dont contribute to the forums in a good way

(it shouldn't happen, people should read the rules, i don't think we would care if like 1 noob posted something in the wrong thread every 2 or 3 months we would all be okay, but then again, never would be better)

this place would be great if the noobs followed the rules and learnt to behave in a sensible way and if the pro's would help people and not just be jerk's to everyone. if that happened we would all be happy and no-one would get annoyed, more people are coming into blockland there is no need to scare them away,

Blockland-That game where you build stuff (and that means a community too)

Tl;dr.

people will make mistakes LIVE WITH IT!
no

also what he said ^

The last intelligent thread I've seen was the gas prices thread, apart from that everything has been either stuffted up or stuff to begin with. The Warren thing just reminded me of who the majority of the forum was composed of and maybe that's why I've been losing interest in the forum altogether. I mean it's fine when this place is lively and fresh, and periodically funny things happen. But lately it's just been unfunny internet fights and meme pounding in every single loving thread.

The best way to put it is this, absolutely positively zero percent effort contributed by the majority. The stufftiest posts come from people who don't even give a thought before posting. Don't get me wrong, the forums have always been like this for the most part. It's a big fat chat room.

The sudden explosion of newbies means that you "senior" players will have to work a little bit harder to stand out. Not all the newbies are "noobs", take Phone for instance (unless he's actually a senior in disguise :tinfoil hat:) and allot of them will actively try to become as good or better then you guys. Don't be surprised if one faithful day some random guy who's never posted before jumps on one of your stuffty posts and calls you out, and you WON'T be able to fight back on it without looking like a complete starfish.

Let me share some internet insights with you:

- Something funny, i.e. humorous. The definition of "funny" changes from one person to another, but the math stays the same. You can go for something obscure that only few will get, but oh man will they get it if done right. Or, you can go for some other general types of humor, like say ridiculing something that makes no sense or making something make no sense to begin with, and so on. Point is, there is a simple thing that makes something funny, that is, the amount of effort put into making it funny. If it's a stuffty job without much thought, incorporating unoriginal content like MEMES, odds are it won't be funny and no one will laugh at it. So guys, at least loving try.

- You guys seem to be big on flamewars, and let me tell you the guy who gets the most dirt on someone else the fastest always wins. Always. You have to absolutely RUIN the other guy's reputation, then no matter what he uncovers in case your bases weren't loaded, no one will take seriously. This beats the crap out of any other name calling trolling attempts. This is a surefire way to destroy someone's e-rep, BUT it requires some effort again.

- The big stuff, "epic" stuff, completely outrageous events. Things that are simply mind blowing, things so overwhelming that you cannot even comprehend the greatness to it's full extent and attempting to understand it is a thrill in itself. Yeah you need effort to start stuff like this too.

tl;dr put a little effort into it and read my loving post.

Lot's of TL;DR's in this topic.
I think my brain will explode.

Tl;dr.
I hope he was joking, if not, then Monty just committed an act bullstuff.

I'm an starfish, so what? There's plenty of starfishs around here who'd do the same as I.

But I thought someone as respected(from what I hear) as you would give some of his time to read a long-ish post.

I was busy yesterday, mainly with going down to the off-lisence to grab some stuff for friends with a buddy of mine.

Oh I see, no problem. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
