Sorry this may be a noob question but what choice do you choose for a ethernet cable (i have a mac) and if you cant find that out how about airport/wireless

An Ethernet cable is an Ethernet cable.

I know that but what Network option do you choose Cable?

You mean what ISP or what option in Blockland we use?

It's hard to tell from your question, can you be specific?

What connection type do i choose

We still do not understand what you mean.

im sorry but we cant actually understand what you mean. try to set out the question in a manner in which we can work in:e.g:

what you want
what you need
what you already have

we should be able to help you if you supply us with that information.

Ok go to option then go to Network there is a alot of internet choices like: 14.4k Modem Cable and so on.

i have a ethernet cable but i cant host internet games. right now i have it set on Cable. i need to find out wat choice i need to choose. i can also join/play in other servers.

Ok, if you can join Blockland servers then you are obviously connected to the internet. From what you have you have explained, you have an Ethernet connection. I would assume that it goes to some sort of modem/router.

If you are planning on hosting games then you need forward ports from the modem/router to your computer. There is already a sticky thread in the help forum that describes what is needed to achieve this.

No there isn't, There's tons of differnt ways to define it. Perhaps he was asking should he go CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6. Although I'm sure that's not what he was asking.

The connection should be LAN (local area network).

Without being technical, dryballs.

Pictures speak. Take them.

You don't forward ports on a modem. Only routers.
