Theft from a retail game is Piracy. That map is property of Garry Newman (And partially Valve Corporation). A direct conversion to be distributed is piracy.

First, Riot would like a remake, not a port.

Second, as long as you aren't selling the map, isn't it ok to port as long as you give credit?
