Author Topic: Per-Player adjustments in mini games.  (Read 754 times)

(engine changes?)

I think it would be nice to have events to affect mini game settings for individual players in a mini game. For example, when you get sent to jail and step on a trigger brick, it turns off your ability to Self Delete; But when you get out, and step on a subsequent trigger brick, you get it back.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

Apparently it's possible to change player datablock settings individually, so events that e.g. make you able to run faster or 'slide' in a minigame might work. (without changing you to Quake player, so you can be fast and keep jets...)

As for a no-Self Delete event, it is way too abusable. It would be okay if e.g. only usable in minigames, but then there's the Default Minigame script which makes permenantly trapping people far too easy...

Maybe for the Self Delete adjustments, you could do a timeout. Unfortunately, it seems like there's either no way for a jail to work because if you don't put no Self Delete in place, they can just Self Delete out, but if you put no Self Delete on it can be easily abused.

Oh wells, thanks for letting me know it can be done.

Make it admin only, then not as much spam/traps would happen.
