Author Topic: New video card and RAM. *splooge*  (Read 3111 times)

So this little number came in the mail today. I ripped open the packaging(it's still good for resale) and installed it immediately.

HOLY loving stuff.

Amazing.

Played TF2 at max settings, x4AA, 1920x1200, and with 32 people and my fps rarely dropped below 60. The card never went above 60 degrees either. This has nothing to do with the card, but I ended a game on the XFG 2Fort server with the third highest score on the winning team.

I'm gonna play around with overclocking it later.

I also got RAM or some stuff. My old RAM took a crap on me. I'm only paying $55 after rebate, it looks like they bumped up the price a little when November started.

I bumped up the fan from 50% to 60%. I can barely hear it and it idles at 38oC instead of 48oC.

so you think.
but we all know that better graphics makes you game better.
:D

I need new PC :(  At least you could run TF2

I might have splurged on DDR3, but my EVGA nForce 750i FTW doesn't support it.

But ehhh, 4GB DDR2 still works great.

Gimme your computer. Now.

I need it more, I can't run anything...

or your new Graphics card and RAM pls

Nice Oits, I'm guessing the $300.00 set back is worth it.

Meh, gaming is expensive. Step up or gtfo.

Very true, but the high price is worth it.

He got RAM too so it'd be about $360 after rebates.

I also bought a Razer Barracuda HP-1 headset for $75. I chose it over the Sennheiser PC-350 because it was half the price. They come in tomorrow though.

Not stuffting till you test crysis on Very high settings (Maybe even Ultra high)

If you don't want to buy crysis try the demo
