Author Topic: ZenGen: The useable, and modable PC.  (Read 4890 times)

This is what I did on my free time.

This Computer has all the parts of a regular PC, and aren't just for show. The resolution is 10x14, and each pixel has a different name. (Yes, very tedious.)

How does it not hit the schedule quota, well, lets look.

There are different parts right now:

CPU - Will be for calculator
Video - Holds bricks that are relayed to change pixils, the multiple bricks makes it so I can change all the pixils with no schedule quota.
HardDrive - Has different bars, that when clicked, glow. These are basically the options for the PC. The PC will (not completed) check if the bars are active, and change settings based on that.
Monitor - The most essential, the one with all the pixils.

So, each of these are active while the computer is doing its business. Now for pictures:

Last but not least, when it's on:

Only two programs are active and installed fully into the computer right now,

Paint: Has two box's on the monitor that you can change different colors at the click of buttons, this helps you see what colors look good together, and which don't. There are only 9 colors right now, until I make the video card bigger, which can fit more video blocks in it. (Picture 3)

Click Game: Each player clicks and try's to get to 100 before the other. Doesn't use any hardware besides signaling right to the number bricks.

(Coming Soon) Calculator: Adds and multiplies 1 digit numbers. Uses CPU to process. My goal is to not use just combos of numbers, but for it to actually multiply them. A set of math events would be nice.

(Having Issues) 3D Pong: A steriotype pong playing field appears in front of the monitor, Its like real 3D!
Events are not working as instructed.

(Haven't Started) Guitar Hero: Colored blocks come toward the bar, you have to press the right buttons. I have to confirm that there is a way to sense a color on another before I can do this.

The full ability to add programs to this computer is what makes it so unique. I didn't spend much time on the case of the Hardware, but It looks cool when it's on.

Thank you for your attention.

...I don't get it.... (you mean pixel?)

spell check on word... or google it!

Tom

Just skimed, but it looks like the first (and only) computer that can claim to actually be work.

I edited it.

Im glad you payed good attention though.

Its not actually a computer, 'till I add the calculator Tom.

Tom

I just mostly like how your making it more then a number that changes the screen.

Yes, It is letters.

(lol)

But seriously, there are just complicated ways of changing the pixels. I guess the Paint program is a graphical test, and the game is to show that the PC has more than pixels. As soon as calculator is complete, it will be a computer.

I am working on a computer that does similar things. Only I have a working cursor system. Maybe you might want to check it out ;)

GREAT now you just gave me a stuffload of stuff to figure out how I willl make my next version better then this.
Anyways, I like it the only thing i don't like is that a garage is where the power comes from.
Also you gave me and intresting idea i have been things about and luckily (since i haven't put any events on screen. Yet) I will be able to do. Hmmm  I should hink abou the game idea maybe i could come up with a better one for my psp I am making. Oh welll i have to ge back to eventing good job!

None of your computers have been any competition to anyone, so I doubt it. But good luck though.

Hmm i know they haven't well until i finished v5 of my computer. Don't expect v4 to be great it's mainly going to be full of glitches tha need to be worked out since i'm comming to a major edditing stage on how the computer works and how the programs on it work. I think it would be cool to add a sequencer to my computer but i'm holding tha off until I figure out all the other things. Thanks for the good luck.

Hey, I expect v1 and v2 to not be great, but v4? Gawd.

This computer has tons of useless parts, making it extremely big

IcyGamma i have a quick question. Do you think my moving screen saver should move o 3 different places or only 2?

Edit: 2 as in back and forth. 3 like in a circle or something

This computer has tons of useless parts, making it extremely big
The useless parts are what makes it not squedule quota hit. Its like fireing a relay to 4 bricks then itsdead of 1 brick firing to 20 different bricks the 4 bricks fire relays to 5 bricks each making the amount of events used on each brick less
