Playing guitar hero and real guitar aren't even the same. You actually think that playing guitar is as simple as playing guitar hero? Guitar hero, as someone already said, is based on reflexes and such, you don't compose anything, you don't need to sound good.
It's a game and it's for enjoyment. Some people enjoy playing Guitar Hero, that doesn't make them stupid and you telling them to go play a real guitar just makes you look like an idiot.
