Then get off it.

If its only distributed on steam, Eric loses a part of his players, because a good amount of us (like me) have a mac. and steam doesn't run on macs unless you use bootcamp, or crossover.

They make you pay slightly more, and cipher money that way.

Please note: If the game grows really really big, we're going to need a new server list system. I'm not scrolling down 1072 servers to find my friend's server.
Dont want that to happen, then that means its harder for players to generaly find your server, which means less players for you.

Then use Crossover. Just because your OS sucks, doesn't mean we shouldn't do something that could potentially help Blockland, bump sales, and make it more popular.

We WOULDN'T USE THE STEAM SERVER LIST, WE'D USE THE BLOCKLAND SERVER LIST.

I think hes talking about how there would be 1000's of blockland servers. Which is possible, since we have about 100 right now?

yea thats what im talking about, and jesus yuki dont bite my head off for that one comment...

but if there are more servers, wouldn't there be more players?

100 servers - 400 players at one time

1000 servers - 4000 players at one time

But i hate this idea. steam doesn't work offline for me, and 1000 new players means 250 or so new servers.

Fun Fact: Many games on Steam can be purchased or downloaded from other sources, and a Mac client already exists so why would it disappear and stop receiving updates?

More proof of Yuki's mental handicapation: World of Goo is available on Steam. World of Goo is available from other sources(like the Greenhouse Games website). World of Goo has a Mac version.

This sounds like a good idea, but I like the community small.
A large community does mean more money, but I like the community how it is.
