How many of you are familiar with linux?
-- How many of you are interested in a linux dedicated.bat
I'm interested in a linux version of blockland.. I know bad spot has other things to worry about.
But I would like to see a linux version of dedicated.bat
so we can start hosting on a linux server.

I have a linux 64-bit ubunto server edition.. Hopefully I'll see a blockland dedicated.bat running on it.. soon..
I won't hold my breath though.

I just want to see how many of you are interested in a linux dedicated.bat

WINE is a compatibility layer that lets you run windows executables on Linux. He did read.

Linux doesnt run batch files like Windows. WINE emulation has plenty of performance.

I ran Blockland in Ubuntu for a while....Boltster users Ubuntu and Blockland.

also from your experience, does it crash less in Ubunto than in Windows?
Or is it more or less the same... ?

I'd say it crashes less, but I changed a few things to make it more blockland and WoW friendly.

Though that said, I remember someone telling me they couldn't even open blockland.

I never crashed.
Its a lot better playing it in fullscreen too because you forget your using Linux. :P
