Can guitars go pewpew? If so they win.

depends, if they are acoustic you can tune the strings too tight and make the little metal thingys at the ends of the strings pop away.
There are some people who got blinded by those, allegedly.

I think the string would snap before the tuning forks.

I never said I could only play metallica. Solos are easy, I repeat. I can pick up any guitar, and play a badass solo whenever I want, However I cannot for the like of me play Chords. Perhaps your different Bones, Or im different I dont know. But solo's are in theory and practice easier, they dont require so much chordial coordination.
(also, learned patterns dont represent skill, they represent simple computer like mathematical comprehension, creativity and the ability to create your own music is what makes a musician)
well if you knew basic music theory, you would know that those fancy solos are based around chords and scales.  You can't just pick random notes and have it sound good (especially when you have a rhythm part; half step clashes don't sound good).

You say you have to be able to solo to be musical?  listen to Yellow Submarine.  No solos.  All simple root chords.

But learning to improv over a chord progression is a good thing to do.  But to do that, (again) you must know your chords.

They can :o, if you record a pewpew sound you can add it to a foot peddle

Just kidding, I barely know stuff on guitar besides that. I'm going to learn, though.

Check out Pull Me Under by Dream Theater. The intro after the clean guitar part might challenge you a bit but it's not overly difficult

Constant Motion's rhythm part hurts my wrist :(

... other end.
I mean the things that anchor the strings onto the bridge.

Oh right.

That's what I meant.

yeah.
Strings snap, and the anchors fly away due to newtons law.
They are pressed hard against the bridge and then suddenly that pressure is released.
I know it does it because when I first started playing I was hurrdurr and I tuned a string until it snapped to see what happened.
