Pretty sure Einstein shot down "time travel". Plus there are so many paradox events that you could trigger which would destroy the fabric of time.

I think the loop hole in what Einstein didn't state, was that you could distort time. Throw in worm-holes and other theoretical physics oddities and you got yourself an interesting possibility. Of course you would need to be going faster than the speed of light to distort space-time, which isn't possible.

Theoretically, if you could Harness the density of say, A black hole, you could tear a hole in the Planar field of space/time(as gravity is caused by distortions in the fabric of space) and if you knew your stuff well enough, could theoretically move through it, and(again theoretically) come out not at a where, but a when :D

You will see your self in the past/future.
You will ruin the space-time continuum.
Its impossible.

You would have to travel faster than the speed of light, which is impossible.

You will see your self in the past/future.

Its impossible.
Neither of you understand the fact that space/time are the same thing, and that our concept of time the way we know it(as a thing that can only flow forward) is wrong, and wholey comes from our evolutionary path, mental capabilities, as well as the action of our metabalism. Time is a concept, Space/time is a reality.
(also, I agree with the theory that time is cyclic)

You will see your self in the past/future.
You will ruin the space-time continuu-4
Its impossible.

Unless Novikov's theory comes into play. Time/Nature itself will prevent you from causing a paradox in the event of time travel.

You can do anything in the past, it won't affect the future, because the past already happened.

EX: I went back in time and punched George Washington.

Affect: Nothing

That makes no sense, and you're an idiot. You're not thinking in 4D:

Butterfly effect: A butterfly flaps its wings, the air becomes a breeze, the breeze becomes a gust, the gust becomes a tornado. You punch George, he gets a bruise. Bruise bothers him in battle, he gets shot, time splits in a new tangent because of that.
What?
Holy stuff fail.

I understand the concept, but I hate the example.

Small changes can have huge effects, but a butterfly's wings wouldn't generate enough force to significantly alter or create gusts and tornadoes. If these theories are made by physicists or some bullstuff you'd think they'd consider that and make a better example, like the Washington one.

I don't study weird time traveling theories so I don't know the names, but it makes sense to me that going back in time and doing something wouldn't alter history, as it has already happened.

And time is a man made concept anyway so...

Imagine you build a time machine to go back and time to do good on a test. As long as you don't do good on that test, you'll keep making the time machine and keep trying, no matter if your future self dies. As soon as you do good on your test, you'll not need to make a time machine and all those events will disappear.

What kind of test am I failing? If I'm able to build a time machine I'd be a loving genius.
