Yes they do. If you're content, you keep buying from them. Consumer happiness x product = sales.
OK, then explain to me why so many bug fixes/features in games are left untouched.
The companies don't care about your happiness, if they can get you to buy the game and be mostly satisfied with it they are OK. If you like the product they have put out there is very little reason for them to do better.
Fixing bugs and adding features is a costly process. If the company does not feel fixing that bug or adding functionality will drastically improve sales/popular opinion of the product, it will not happen.
They don't care if you're totally satisfied, they care that you gain a dependence on their product and keep coming back for more.
