How about, you link your account to a blockland id like RTB, but you must play for a certain amount of days before you can post in the forums, exept for help.

The way i see this working is Badspot would be forced to do more monitoring

Badspot would have to monitor everyone's posts for a certain time instead of just reacting to/deleting/moving posts reported. It'd be a lot of work when a system for reporting 'bad' posts already exists.

Several people have come to the forum to discuss buying the game. Discouraging people like this by forcing them to buy it before they can discuss whether they'd like it or if it's worth it isn't a good thing.

It's like there's no-one else most of the time, though. How often does he post? Once a month, maybe? A mod isn't really useful if they're never active...

There could be a worse moderator.

Also, I think if you link your ID to the forums to allow you to post in other sections like add-ons or things that only people with the full blockland could use would be a good idea. Not to restrict them to not posting but to restrict them to cirtain forums such as clan and add-ons and most defiantly the mod help sections.

I believe I have. Atleast, I wouldn't nominate you. I'd say that the beta testers should moderate. I mean, badspot knows them best.
