Think about it, even by going on google, google gets your IP. You JOIN a server, host gets your IP. You go on facebook, facebook gets your IP. You download using a Peer to Peer network, every person sharing with you gets your IP.
IP is nothing special. Don't be scared of any hack attempts, unless your mother for some reason doesn't want to have a good secure program to protect it. Like Avast, or even simply get a good router.

Thanks to all of you that gave me IP and location. I already know that, and your info on my IP isn't where i live. but it's pretty close. You'll never find me! ha ha! by the way, i already convinced my parents, so you can post more if you want, but i'll be hosting starting on December 22. Also, i'm on a mac so i can't get viruses :D
