Author Topic: Spelling or Grammar?  (Read 1109 times)

Well I just felt like asking what the community thinks is more important. It is so hard to choose. If you think one is more important than other give a reason why.I pick spelling is because without it we couldn't even understand what people are typing.

Grammar, start putting spaces between your period and the next sentence.

I need to get used to that. D:

lots of people use grammar. Not everyone is good at spelling.

Tater has the in-ability to decide.

What is good spelling without good grammar you still can't understand "ran Amazing the flamingo house to" or "Amazing the flaming ran to house". But also you can't understand "amzing teh flammingo rahn 2 teh howz.

I can string together badly-organised sentences with correct words. If the words are wrong then I'm just clutching at straws.

i voted spelling just because i assume by grammar your thinking about ,.:'?!
while i don't think much importance of them, i prefer people word sentences properly, and readable.

were be mah teh both opion?

Grammar is things making sense.
"i knn speel welll" is a spelling issue.
"I can spell good" is a grammar issue.

Exactly:
"More better" is a horrible and highly used grammatical mistake.
For me, grammar come more easily than spelling, but I'm cajun, so I could make mistakes at times.

no, grammar includes both proper word structure AND punctuation.

one of which is not important, and one that is on a forum. not made clear in this poll

Reset poll.Everyone will pick both obviously. o:

Punctuation counts as word structure, spoon.

You require both to be something other than a complete idiot.

I really don't care unless it's on a forum/somewhere formal, to be honest. If you're on a game and you butcher a sentence, you can't really edit it so grammar to me is a bit less important. However ignorance and stupidity are a different issue. Besides, I don't feel like being a grammar national socialist usually.
