is it possible to create a hand held flash light but instead of a sphere light its a spot light, it lights the area you look at or shine at.

That will be great if someone made it.

On topic: we realy do need a flash light! the only thing of light we have is an emiter inside our hands lol.

I'm sure Badspot could do this, i think you need engine changes.

No,I think that you could model it,so the light can only come out of the tip,but I'm not sure so meh.

lol, what you need to do is to create it like a tool that when you left click, it turns on and when you right click, it turns off

This is about the only way you can do it with out engine changes

The shape of the model won't change a thing.

Would it be possible to shoot damage-less, invisible projectiles that make light on collision with something? That way, you'd have a "sphere" of light where the flashlight beam hits.

He means having a model with a light mounted on the end of it, so it looks like a flash light beam but it's just like the default

Yeah :D.

That'd still make it a sphere.  Also, it would randomly end.

You could probably do it with a white emitter. It wouldn't be brilliant, but it would have a mild effect.
