Author Topic: What source game should I get?  (Read 2985 times)

"Hey, Mom, I want to buy this new Mario ga-"

"NO *hands shooter*"
Epic lolz

Me: I wanna get a new game

Parents: Got money?

Situation 1

Me: yes

Parents: K

Situation 2
Me: No

Parents: We have the lawn and dishes, take your pick.

On a more ontopic point:
I don't see what is so good about TF2. I played a demo and wondered why it is so good. All I got to do was shoot around an run. A standard shoot 'em and run game if you ask me.

OSHT. Hang on. Is Half-Life 1 a source game? >_>

hl1 is goldsrc

hl1: source is the original but converted to the source engine

Oh good. I was pretty sure I hadn't seen HL1 on there, but I got freaked out for a minute when I saw this:

And I would go for Half Life, if you haven't played it yet.

<snip>
For me it's like this:
1."Me: Can I get a new game?
Parents: Do you have the money?
Me: No.
Parents: Then no."
2."Me: Can I get a new game?
Parents: Do you have the money?
Me: Yes :D
Parents: No.
Me: :("

Okay, I got around $30 right now to buy whatever source w/ or w/o Gmod that I want.
I'm thinking CS:S + Gmod, but I want more opinions before I make my choice.

Also, excuse my bump.

Get $20 more and get L4D.

Get $20 more and get L4D.
Not possible. I'd get it faster asking for it for Christmas. Which I realize would be the logical thing to do, but I want it now :D

If your parents are willing to fork over 100$, and you're willing to give up your other games, then get the Valve - Complete Pack.

Otherwise, get Left4Dead. EXTREMELY satisfying.

Get TF2, dammit!
Already got the Orange Box on my 360, so I already have TF2.

If your parents are willing to fork over 100$
Not likely.

But the gameplay on 360 isnt as good it seems. Its a completely diffrent experience.
