We were in the school bleachers for some reason, and I kept taking his hat. Then I believe I accidentally dropped it down through them (I might have intentionally done it because he was trying to take it back.) Then when the thing we were there for was done, he went down under the bleachers to go get it, and it was gone.

I liked that hat, it was felt and had a little string on the fuzz ball, probably one of the highest quality and most comfortable Santa hat I've owned. And you lost it because you were pretending to be the "hat gnome"...
