.__.

People aren't getting this.

Everyone, this is only an edit of the fakekill function. This does not mean we can have movers or anything like that.

No body seems to understand this. Everyone, think of this as a nicer looking dead brick. Things to make them useful will come out later.

It makes pretty junk on the ground to make the destruction already in game look good. Another reason to leave brick damage on.

Collision will come about, eh, v16?

Specs for average PC by then :

4.5 Ghz CPU,
1024 mb Video,
2048 mb Ram,

Thats my estimate.

I think that would be a stuff one then.

5.0 Ghz CPU
8gb RAM
2gb Video

It would seem that unless there is a degree of randomness to the physics, people would not be dieing randomly.(as the same path would be projected) There would be differences but I wouldn't think that a brick dieing from the same blast would be 20 feet away on another person's screen.
Unless someone has the physics turned off, of course.

What if they don't have physics turned on? What if the have some lag and they find out the bricks started to fall 100ms late? Or if they have very little lag and they find out faster than everyone else? What if they comment out the function call or call it twice? What if they crash in the middle? What if the physics system stops simulating some brick because there are too many new bricks to simulate and a pile of bricks ends up solving differently than on everyone else's computer? Positional updates for players aren't sent every tick and aren't precise (to save bandwidth), so what if some players or vehicles are positioned slightly differently?

What if two people, because their sims work out differently, both think they were hit by the same brick?

There are lots of factors that can desynchronize the physics. It will almost always be pretty close but it will almost never be exactly the same.

In conclusion, the physics will not be in sync, and the server has no ability to validate that the clients are telling the truth, so it is a very bad idea to make gameplay that relies on it. Maybe in the future there will be a better solution, but for now, that is how it works.

8800 GTS? thats so old

Ion Cannon+ACM City+Brick Physics= Test your rig!

IM GONNA MAKE SPINNIG DETH TRAP THNX TRADER LOL DIS ROX PHYSICS FTW ROBLOX NOT SO GUD NOW HA

Nerdgasm anyone?

Seriously this is epic!

when will it be released? PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!

when will it be released? PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!
No, stop whining and please be patient, if stuff had a release date, people would be disappointed when the supposed release date came, or they'd be disappointed if the release date was too far off

It's better not knowing and just do other stuff while you wait

So now you can launch bricks like projectiles with some sort of cannon, eh? I already have a few ideas :D

I watched the video with my jaw dropped.  Really.

A few current ideas:
Rain: Have a bunch of blue 1x1 rounds that will randomly fall from the ceiling, timed to disappear when they hit the ground.  Dance.

Basketball: Have a floating 1x1 in front of a hoop.  Have players attempt to shoot the brick in a spot so that it flies forward and gets the brick in the basket.  Alternate version is a giant garbage can.

Extreme Catapult: Have one brick catapult another, which lands and catapults another, which lands and catapults another.  Continue as long as you can.

Collapsing Bridge: I've wanted to do one of these even before events were out, where a bridge starts falling apart, and then just collapses.  The time lengthening thing was the fact that I'd have to calibrate each brick to fall so it would look like it is falling apart, instead of just kinda...breaking.  This makes that a really possibility.

Stargate Kawoosh:  Wouldn't kill, but who cares, blue bricks everywhere.

Plunko machine: You know you want to.

These are all possible as far as I can tell.
