My idea is that the player would move slow and jump lower the more items he has, so if he had full 5 he would be really cumbersome but with no items he would be very agile.

Actully,nice idea,but light items like the key,wouldn't make sense to slow him/you down.

I had that, doesn't that just make you slow regardless of inventory?

you should code in how much everything weighs so you can have 5 light items and not be too slow for it

Is it possible to change datablock values on the fly? If it's not, I think this'd take 6 separate datablocks... not really worth it.
