Author Topic: WTF Steam?  (Read 1243 times)

Apparently steam has been screwing up with certain purchases of Half-Life . Many people in the US say they got a censored version of half life (including me) and tech support isn't doing much. Also here is proof http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=755102 . I hope that lousy tech support comes out with a fix soon.
Edit: ingore the first thread on the steam forums, another discuss.

Then don't get a German ISP.

I don't use one or have one.

What do you mean by censored?

Are they bleeping out words?

I think its less gore, blood, and cursing.

It means no blood(can be turned on through console, but you end up getting springs), no human soldiers, just robots.

Disc version of Half-Life FTW

This happened to my brother, so he played CS with green blood for a bit. You need a content lock password.

The content lock doesnt work for me and I do miss the human soldiers.

VTF (Valve Texture File)
WTF (What the forget)
VVTF (Vee vee tee eff looks like WTF only the 'W' is bigger)

This is something me and MegaScience (If i remember correctly) were talking about

Relation to the topic:
VTF = Valve Texture File = Valve = Steam
WTF/VVTF = WTF = Topic name

:D

The content lock doesnt work for me and I do miss the human soldiers.

Elaborate.

Well then I guess I lock this.
