Handle looks exactly like the lego one. Same with antenna. Make more blocky pls

There's more to making new bricks for BL than drawing them in Sketchup. You can't just drop the Sketchup file in your BL folder and expect it to work, you have to code them by hand...

That being said, there are quite a few issues with the models you've posted so far:
  • Too many polygons, especially the antenna
  • Too similar to existing lego bricks
  • Lack of shading
  • Misaligned parts (handle brick)
  • Faces inside the bricks
  • Missing side textures
  • Misaligned studs (window brick)
  • Wrong proportions (chair brick)

What he said.
And having players make bricks is a hassle. You gotta have the bricks in order to connect to the server and it's just an overall pain. I'd rather wait for more bricks to come in an official update.

These also need to stop looking like identical copies from the lego sets. Remake and add/take away a few things and give them a more blocko view.
Also, in the other thread you said you might convince Badspot to add these to V11, that won't happen unless you make sure that these are legally distinct from the lego bricks, or he would get into trouble.

I'm planning to get help from Trader with mounting the image to the BLB file, apparently he has a script for it. And the pictures made it look weird, I actually properly grouped them and measured them, they are all in proportion.

Working on Blocko ones.

I've just been informed from jd00004 that the Arch will be impossible to make in Blockland.

Just use collision for the arch such as a 4x1x5 or how ever big it is in size, but you will need to even out the plate part of the arch.

Hmm, good idea. I guess I'll keep the arch then.

Also, adding Blocko antennas. I made them as blocky as possible, and I think it looks great.

Have you made BLB files for these as well as the collision model?

The 2x2 print window looks interesting. Maybe try for some variation on the 'Lego' design - the antennas look exactly the Lego ones...

An antenna like the one here (short) for transmitters and things would be nice.

Working on. :D

Do want please.

Done.

Also, for everyone to know, these models are still in SKP files. It will be a painstaking process exporting them from DAE files to FBX files and then OBJ files, and then I need somone with Milkshape to resize and retexture, and export to DTS.

Then we need Trader to help us mount them to a BLB file, and we're done.

I love you Hunter. :D

Oh goodness. :D

What should I make next, I'm outta ideas.

You do realize that you'll run into problems with your brick shading and face culling?

The antenna from the Jeep would be nice.
