You do realize that you'll run into problems with your brick shading and face culling?

Hopefully we can fix that with Milkshape, if not, we're screwed.

You're screwed. Bricks are rendered differently than BLBs, stop taking shortcuts... This is the reason why there isn't a hidden door for JVS doors...

could you make sideways facing handles that could be stacked on top of un-rendered bricks to make handles attached to make refrigerator handles and such

Damn. There must be some way to add these to Blockland, without messed up problems occurring.

There's more to making new bricks for BL than drawing them in Sketchup. You can't just drop the Sketchup file in your BL folder and expect it to work, you have to code them by hand...

That being said, there are quite a few issues with the models you've posted so far:
  • Too many polygons, especially the antenna
  • Too similar to existing lego bricks
  • Lack of shading
  • Misaligned parts (handle brick)
  • Faces inside the bricks
  • Missing side textures
  • Misaligned studs (window brick)
  • Wrong proportions (chair brick)
Geek, do you ever just say: "Hey, these are pretty cool"?

Geek, do you ever just say: "Hey, these are pretty cool"?

Whats the point? Everyone in this thread is going "omg so amazing, make this one next" and this guy is wasting his time making bricks that you will never ever see in Blockland (made by him)

I don't know what Zoneark has been telling you, but the only script I have to generate BLBs is the one I use to generate the extremely simple cuboid bricks for use with Doors.  Even if I did have a script to convert your models into BLBs, the number of polys in them is ridiculous.

Lol, for next time, before you go thinking you're some brick-making pioneer, think about it logically.  If I had such a script, why wouldn't I have already been helping Kaje and Ephi and TheGeek to make bricks?  Even if I had been helping them, anyone joining a server with one of our custom bricks who doesn't have the BLB for it would see a box.  Why people get revved up about things that more skilled people could have and would have done before if it were possible / practical is beyond me.  It's just like that onVehicleTouch thing that people freaked out about.  It's just not possible to make that sort of functionality via script in a way that isn't complete crap.  Lol, you might have just wasted a lot of your time.

Well it was a nice dream.

So no matter what, these brick can/will never be made to work for Blockland?

Nope. Well that really sucks.

Oh, well yeah. It was fun while it lasted.

Why can't it be made, you said it could

It just can't. My models have way too many polys, and apparently the shading and faces would get messed up.

I'll lock, and try my luck with items.
