Yeah wth, this would be one of those awkward silences. You are lucky it's just typing, lol. I agree with Muffinmix on the most recent Final Fantasy characters, Tidus was tolerable but I could not stand playing FFXII because of the cigarette protagonist Vaan. You should also know that FFXIII will have a girl for the main character, which is still a step-up from Vaan but what happened to character like Cloud and Squall?

I say they've completely exhausted the Final Fantasy franchise. A 13th sequel will be quite enough, thank you.

I would have to say killing off Rikimaru in Tenchu 1 was really reeeaaaallly gay.


Then they kept trying to bring his character back in sucky ways. His character was good, they just ruined Tenchu with that one.

I personally think Squall was the turning point. The point where the characters started the 'downfall'. Cloud was pretty cool in my opinion. He wasn't some badass blunt handicap who asks too many questions. (In reference to many Tales games) Final Fantasy 9 is when the characters became terrible.

But even then, I still stick to my word, that Sora is the worst character.

The only good FF characters were the ones in FF4 or 2 or whatever. Even then the protagonist in that game became a loving homo during the second part. He was boss before that,  he was a loving black knight and he had love with chicks and he had some research lying around in the original version too and stuff.

Cloud was the beginning of terrible protagonists, Squall kind of picked it up since he was a loving jackass in a good way, but then all the protagonists turned into pussies after that.

And yeah seconding that almost all the protagonists from every Tales games are bad.
