It would be cool if someone could make an event that would check whether the brick currently had a light on it. If it did/did not then something would happen. This would be a better way of making lightswitches as well as other things if you are creative.

So like... ifLight?

You could use setEventEnabled, toggleEventEnabled or combinations of the Variable Events to achieve this.

Don't just ask for the Automatic "do everything I want" event, be creative with existing ones.

Well there isn't a variable event for this yet, specifically.
I am aware you can accomplish it with the current variables, but this would be a bit easier for event newbs.

I could probably do it with eventenabled, but it would probably take me a while, especially if I did multiple. I just would like an easier way to do it.....

ryanb, you don't need any eventEnableds.

why? You're to lazy to use toggle event enabled? This would be a waste of time.

Yes.....yes I am.....

If you're too lazy to do toggleeventenabled then don't even bother.

Psst... He's talking about more than ifOn -> turnOff and ifOff -> turnOn.
He means like, checking if it's on, then doing a(n assumably) large number of events.

Even so,

ryanb Everyone, you don't need any eventEnableds.

Simple variable events would do.

Toggle events will be do this easily. Nothing new is needed.

An ifLight event would be able to perform exactly the same function as the toggles, except it can be used in less circumstances. I see no reason for it to be there.

If someone gives you a lightswitch event, you get a lightswitch.

If you learn the events yourself, you could become a event pro.

is it really that hard to do it with events?

(make light brick)event:
1.(checked)-onactivate-self-setlight-(what light you want)
2.(unchecked)-onactivate-self-setlight-none
3.(checked)-onactivate-self-toggleevent-1
4.(checked)-onactivate-self-toggleevent-2

that will turn it on and off every time you click it.
PUT IT IN THAT ORDER!!!

If you're too lazy to do toggleeventenabled then don't even bother.
