Author Topic: Yuy new computer coming (UPDATE PROBLEM ON PAGE 4)  (Read 4987 times)

bump.

Question 1:

The cpu I'm originally planning to get is this.
Would getting this be an option? I looked at the specs of both and they're exactly the same except different GHz, but I wanted to be safe. Also they're same price.

Hah sweet my new motherboard has 8 USB ports

that's loving fantastic

Go for it. Not sure why the E7300 is the same price, but it should work better. You could just OC the E7200, but for the same price why not :D

Yuy

Tahnks :D

I has that graphics card :D (Chasey told me it sucked :<)

forget my dad

He keeps talking about how upgrades are pointless and how you can just get free stuff from his spare computer parts at his office which are lower grade than mine.
He says he has some 2.4GHz dual core thing and other motherboards, and doesn't care about the graphics card though. What if the graphics card won't fit, huh? Plus all those things are for office stuff, I am doing gaming. Gaming /=/ Office.

I'm paying my loving money for this stuff and I'll be damn well unhappy if he refunds it.

bump

purchased CPU, and other stuffs came in. I is happeh :D

Bump, CPU came in.

Backed up everything to portable hard drive (Yep, I fit it all!),
unplugging computer after this post.

Q-Q-Q-Q-QUADUPLE BUMP!

I removed everything from the old motherboard and stuff, and put in the new motherboard, connected all the wires, CPU, heatsink, and graphics card. Holy stuff 9800 GTs are huge, but awesome :D Anyways, the RAM is not the right type (/slap General Nick), but I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow to pick up 2 x 1GB DIMM DDR2 RAM for $40. Yuy!

I can't fit a graphic card in my pc, I would need a new motherboard, But i found a place i can get a pc mega cheap just for it not having a windows os installed :3

Gen, you get DDR3 In guessing? Then I laugh at you :D

Also, who made the RAM your getting? some RAM brands die in like three days.

9800GT? The 9800/9600 Is the same thing as 8800, except with a different model, i heard. Yes it's true. look it up.

Not quite....

They all share the G92 architecture, but the 9800GT is quite a bit more powerful than the 9600GT. Much like cars, you can change a few small elements of the product and reap huge performance gains without having to change the overall design.
