PNY is brand.
Does PNY even make good RAM?

Several of my real life and e-friends have had nothing but trouble with PNY video cards. Most often receiving DOA parts and getting told to forget off by PNY.

Why did you get 667MHz when your new motherboard can support 1066? Hell, 800 is considered low-ball for DDR2; you went under that.

For about $15 more you could have got 4GB of 1066.

Does anyone know the difference between cheap DDR2 RAM  and branded super overclocked memory. I don't know the difference since I just got a new PC with standard 4 gig DDR2.

Can anyone help me decide memory? Also, use bestbuy or circuit city or something.

I am NOT waiting for shipping AGAIN.

I'm sure you could get 4GB of DDR2 1066, from a good manufacturer, and overnight or two-day shipping from Newegg for less than those forget ups are charging.

Not only are their websites a bitch to navigate, they also had a very low selection of parts from brands I wouldn't trust. Also, if you go to one of their stores they may not even have the same things.

*edit*

You'll pay $50 for this after rebate(DO IT) with next day delivery. DOn't get that though, a lot of the reviewers have problems with it.

Even if you don't care about paying for the RAM and getting it today, I can tell you their selection won't be good.

I don't want 4 GB and have to use 64 Bit OSs, mainly because 64 bits aren't always supported by all games.

Would this work?

EDIT: Found this at Best Buy.

What games do you play?

Kingston is OK. I usually only look at OCZ, Corsair, G. Skill, and Crucial though. They make good parts and have good reputations. For awhile Kingston had a reputation for making a lot of stuff and it's stuck with them even though they've become better.

I mostly play games like Red Alert 3, Blockland, L4D and such, usually high-graphics/CPU requiring games.

Then why the forget wouldn't they work on 64-bit Vista?Unless you meant XP64 which is lol.

Where the hell did you read those games don't work?

No, I just had the idea that they wouldn't. I was mostly concerned about 64 bit XP, because it seems very third-partyish :/

I guess it's time for Vista :)

I've been using Vista 64 for over a year now. I've never had a compatibility issue except for a game from like 1993.

Alrighty then, I will get 64-bit Vista.

Still, question stands, which memory?

EDIT: Found a 2GB DIMM DDR2 memory at 800 MHz.

No, I already told you anything from Best Buy/Circuit City is stuff and/or overpriced.

Your gonna get your ass raped price-wise if you buy it from a retail store. You can get 4GB of memory from a good brand for under $40 (before rebates)on newegg.

Good brands : Corsair, OCZ, G-Skill, GEIL, Patriot, A-Data, Crucial

Corsair*

Also yes, use newegg. Screw the "I don't want to wait for shipping", a $20 difference says that you should care.

First off, I'm going to email my dad at work to see if he has any spare memory for the time being.

Otherwise, I'm buying this:

With the $35 rebate.

EDIT:
fffffuuuuuu-

rebate expires tomorrow :( no time to mail it.
