TL:DR Don't just use the original DTS file for two reasons. 1: it contains all of the accessories. 2: after you clean it all up making it into paper is pure hellHere's a tip, make it from scratch or edit the file heaps, to create do-able simple folds for the default minifig is a nightmare, don't just rip the model and place it into pepakura if that's what you're using (I'd most likely say so)
Here's why:

The first one is the origbrown town blockland minifig, the second is my own. (same size)

Using the original minifig isn't a good idea, sure it looks easy and a bit better looking because you've clicked one button to convert it all, but once you print it out and start to cut 'n' gluing you'll find out why ;D Making papercraft is meant to be fun, not pure hell.
After all that, like I said in the Papercraft topic, once it's made it will look like this anyhow (picture below)... and don't use straws :S (lol at whoever suggested that) what I ended up doing is just gluing it to a peace of paper with a nice background on it (A picture of the map bedroom) and from this you can hang it up on your wall.

What's another good thing is just to leave the papercraft blank, print it out and sit down with your child/siblings and they can colour it in, and draw their own decals and such onto it, cut it all out and glue it together, good times ;)
Here's a .3ds file of the original minifig but with no textures and such so you can easily apply your own to suit your needs and styles.
