Author Topic: Hands in First Person  (Read 2409 times)

I thought about this a few days ago.

The reason the minifig doesn't render in 1st person is because if it did, you would be able to see your visor and helmet if you had one, and i think this would be annoying.

Witch is kinda cool, but it'd get annoying after a while like you said

And you'd be unable to see stuff with a opaque visor

What? I've seen my hand while swinging before... But I don't really look...
I don't. Ever since I turned Render player off it wouldn't show. Even If i turn render player on it won't show.

I think back in v0002 the colour of your visor tinted the screen. Can't remember though.

i have an idea, why dont you model the hand ON the gun so when you look at it, it looks like your hand? and when you reload with some specail weapons, your hand comes over and dances a jig or something?

But the person holding the weapon's hand might be a different colour then his skin! How would it change according to the person's right hand colour?

How about this, a script. You just type /showplayeron or /showplayeroff

Good idea?

Guys come on, would it be so hard to script you would have to stay up all night drinking Red Bull every few seconds?

It should work like i posted above...

I turned on the player rendering once, but you couldn't seen when you looked down, because your avatar was in the way.
