Anyone mind helping me when the K-something theif comes? I can't figure out what to do.

Oh yeah, you need to draft whoever's nearby (only momentarily) into the military and let him chase the thief down and smash his face in. After the deed is done, you just undraft them and they go about their usual business.


Press v, move the cursor towards/over them to select them, then type p, then capital A to activate them. Then it gets fun.

And if you really feel like it. Press k to find their name, then press m for military menu, then go to them and press a to activate them.

What I love about this game is int he forums, people describe horrific ways to lose. Then others come and post pictures of them trying the same way at their fortress. Losing really is fun.

I still think the "Losing due to flood" is the best losing scenario. There's so much that can happen and it's easy to lose this way.

I believe he means obsidian farming.
Using a river and a pipe, and flooding the currents together to get cool the magma off into obsidian.

If you set trader's clothes or items for dumping, the dwarves will strip them of those clothes or items and dump them, you can steal the elves' thongs this way.

It's more like the magma passes through magma forges then into a small resovoir that's manually operated to make obsidian, by flowing in water, and then magma.



It's really pretty cool.

You can also make giant monoliths out of obsidian by pouring a 7/7 layer of obsidian, then covering it with water, leaving behind a sheet of obsidian, continue upwards until your giant obsidian tower or block is complete. Complex shapes are possible too.
