A Cell Phone

Maybe not this complicated but there should be a phone mod!

And phone numbers can be their IDs...

nice perfect idea, what they should do (i dont no if you said this but still its in a diffrent way) is that the phone is a item. just scroll to it and something pops up on your screen with the options "call"   "text" "calc"    "mods"
"time" "settings"  and when someone calls you the item pops up saying the call or text.  For the phone ring someone would have to make more music. [more music for music bricks YAY] and for the phone call you whould have to set it on or off in settings, and in settings you could block peep.

oh yep here it is.
know this was suggested recently, but here's the functions I want in it.
The phone should be a item that you have from default, but hidden. You toggle it with a command ex. /mobilephone. Then the phone model shows up in your hand and at the same time the phone gui shows up (that looks like the front of the phone model).
When you use the phone first time, you'll be able to choose between different models. You can change model later if you want.
With the phone you can link your chat directly to people using a list, because the IGSO /whis command doesn't work if the player has strange characters in his/her name.
When someone calls you the phone gui will pop up, that shows who that is calling. At the same time the phone model shows up in your hand. You can decide if you want to answer or not.
The phone signal is customizable: you can choose the default sounds to mix a signal, or use presets that comes withe phone.
The phone should also have a SMS/MMS function that lets you to PM people and also send pictures.
Of course it would have a camera, and the pictures would be saved in a special folder (optional, it can be saved in the default screenshots forlder).
You would also be able to block people from the phone, but not if theyre admins or super admins and you'r non-admin, or if they're Super Admins and your just admin.
Now for the fun parts: The phone would have a music function that lets you to listen to music (only you can hear it). New idea: The music function would have a favourite list, so you can choose the music you like most.
The phone menu would have a background picture that you can pick from anywhere in your computer.
It would also have games in it, it would have one or two by default, and if you download games from internet you'll be able to play them on the phone (if they not are too big).
And, most important: When RTB 2 comes out you would be able to get RSS feeds and check the MOD manager when you are on a server!
I hope someone makes this, it would be really cool!
The almost most interesting thing is that it would be a server AND clientside mod!
NEW IDEA: There would be a "note" function where you can write down stuff you need to remember.
NEW IDEA 2: There would also be a GPS function that shows a minimap, like the one in mission editor.

O_O Good details! Whoever wishes to script this (if they want to) should put a lot of this stuff in it. ALSO: I don't know how to script, but i am learning. So i won't be scripting this. BUMP

um, in my control panel i have a thing called cell phone GUI and when i open it you can type in numbers and stuff...i dont remember downloading this thing so could someone tell me what the hell it does?

Its darklights old desgin. Sorta sucky, even though he got Donations !!!

i wouldnt mind a cell phone idea, it could be opened with /phone and you could send a message by saying /phone <BLID/PlayerName> <Message>       and then the other players screen shakes a bit and a little tune plays.  then you open /phone and check your message.

although if you only want this to talk to someone privately just say /whis <playername> <message>

Damn, this would rock. There should also be different types of phones, with different styles of typing/pictures/things like that. Like the iPhone, or the Blackberry, or things like that.

No need to make another phone type, because then it would be more complicated.

Good idea :D! although, maybe there could also be a command for like /togglechat
to make it so everyone can hear, then when you say /togglechat again, no one can hear except for the people around you like the radius. (the command would be super admin or admin only)

I've been thinking of this for awhile.  I really think this and the Cell phone mod would work together.

This has been made, Darklight. No model though, just a Gui and then you type in their BLIDs and it calls them, plays a sound, and then you open a chat window.
