Author Topic: Red Alert 3 Problem (Please read if you own Red Alert 3)  (Read 4013 times)

I have a loving handicapped problem with Red Alert 3.
I just installed it after 5 hours of installing it, and now for some godforget reason it doesn't run. It says RA3_1.6.game has encountered an error blahblahblah error report blah.

My brother told me to delete the RA3_english_1.6.skudef file, and run it. Tried that then it said RA3_1.5.game encountered an error blah blah blah.
I then deleted all the .skudef files except for 1.0, and it said that RA3_1.0.game has encountered an error blahblahblah. I deleted the 1.0 skudef file and it says cannot run game, missing version 1.0 or something and please repatch.

1. What is causing this?
2. The only possible way that COULD fix this is if someone puts all the .skudef files found in the main Red Alert 3 folder in Program Files\Electronic Arts into a .zip, and also put the RA3_1.x.game files in the zip too.

Simplified instructions:
Can anyone take the .skudef files found in Program Files\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3 into a zip?
And can that same person please put all the RA3_1.(patchnumberhere).game files found in Program Files\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3\Data in the zip too?

Please PM me a link to the zip when you do so. Please help me, I want to play wit Colten :c

What is the exact error message? A quick search in google should help.

Recreating error,

Also before the (x) has encountered a problem window it shows this error message with a huuuuge wall of text.

copypastaing off computer

This all happens on the splash screen if you haven't guessed.

Wall of text error.
Title of error is 'Game crash'.

The "blah has encountered a problem and needs to close." message.

Still nagging Colten for files, but he's busy >.>
Also I had a problem similar to this on my old computer (Before even my old cpu and motherboard stuff) with CnC3, and I had to replace just the .game file.

Try asking on the forums.. well theres.

But i do understand why you wrote here too, alot easier to get a response a a friendly forum that you know.

That, and EA does nothing but stuff out robot responses and the only real people are idiots who think their 1998 laptop will run Red Alert 3.

bots? hmm... maybe i should prank email them about my non working C&C:RA :D

I'm going to install Red Alert 3 on my laptop to my portable hard drive.

I think the slow installation had something to do with this.

Wouldn't it be a read only for your External HDD?
