I've never understood tattoos. People always talk about how it tells a piece of their life, and expresses them and is a form of art. There are tons of other forms of 'art', and ways of expressing yourself rather than putting permanent ink on your skin. I feel bad for people who are covered in tattoos, as you get older they ware and they look terrible on the skin, and not to mention tattoo removal is very painful.
