what the forget where do you live

my rent in a particularly expensive area of LA is under 1.8k/mo

Where I live (in my neighborhood), you can barely get a studio for ~$2500 per month. $1800 is nothing.

that's a lot, depending on square footage
we used to have a nice three-bedroom apartment where I live now and it was like $800 a month

2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, don't really know about square footage.
but in terms of the neighborhood it's a great price. the other apt buildings in the area would, for the same apt, be upwards of $2500.

if you live in downtown honolulu that is actually kind of realistic

Downtown Honolulu is nothing compared to where I live in Manhattan. I know a lot about realestate, and I can get a fairly nice two bedroom one bathroom apartment with a waterfront view in Wakiki for ~$650,000 - as opposed to here, where I'd be paying anywhere between $900,000-$1,250,000++. I'm mostly talking about my particular area, but yeah. New York, along with Sydeny, Hong Kong, London and Paris are some of the most expensive cities to reside in the world -- also forgot to throw Tokyo in.

Our place is in one of the nicer areas of San Diego so it is really expensive but we have a decent sized one bedroom and it's on the 21st floor with a really nice view of the city and the ocean. So we're really paying for the view and the area. We're within walking distance of some of the coolest places in San Diego and our apartment itself is really beautiful so we're super happy.

we pay about $2500/mo here. We looked at a lot of places in the $1600-$2000/mo range that weren't as nice or in areas as nice as this one but were bigger. But we don't need a lot of space for just the two of us!!

I'm so lucky that we own our apartment. My dad could of never afforded to live in this area if he were to buy now. Also San Diego's Downtown is really nice, not a fan of the city beside Coronado - but the Downtown is extremely walkable and safe. Transport is MEH, and the highways are a dump but its a decent city. Overrated though, like New York. Little Italy is nice there too tho, but not as good as our Mulberry Street. Plus you cant get a god damn good cannoli there.

thank god I live in nobody wants to loving live anymore Missouri where the rent is cheaper than 5 dollar hookers

Come June 21st I'm going to be homeless I'm almost certain.

Holla

I wouldn't want to live in Missouri either. Well, I wouldn't mind living in Downtown St. Louis, lofts there are really cheap.

I am guessing you're turning 18 and your parents are kicking you out? If that's the case, best of luck and I am sorry to hear.

"I wouldn't want to live in missouri"
"Oh but arguably the worst city in the state is an exception"

It's not a bad city, just has many bad parts like New York. Do you live in a small town, or the ocean?
