Brick Shadows

I just realized this, in Blockland the bricks do not create shadows when they are placed. Why is this? Is there any way that you could enable the shadows, or create a mod?

I would believe that you had an option to turn them on or off. That's what I'm thinking.

They have shadows, if you make a picture.
