Author Topic: Whats a good score for the SAT tests?  (Read 2084 times)

I got an 1880 and I don't know if thats good. I know the max is 2400 so I don't think I did too well, but has anyone else here taken the SATs yet?

Well my guess is the average is at least 1400-1600 for most people, but I think you got a really good score.

EDIT: For the record, I'm comparing to my brother's score of 1350.

Sounds good. Don't forget the ACT, I heard that some people have extremely different scores of those.

My sister found the ACT easier (She got a 33 or 34 on it). She got a 1900 on the SAT I believe.

I think your 1880's good, to tell the truth. I have little experience with SATs.

I don't have the full report yet, just the score. That is getting mailed to me in a week or so.

then wait for that. they break it down

33 or 34? That's a perfect..

Aw, forget. That's the Science test? Am I right?

Average when I took it was between 1000 and 1500.  I got somewhere near your score, I think it was a little less.

Depends on what school. A solid 1700-1800 will get you into state schools and private colleges.

It's no big deal really, pick of the litter gets in first anyway.

I got a 1750 on mine and I got into the best aerospace engineering college in America, so don't worry about it too much.(oh..and a $40k scholarship XD)

All decent colleges look at more than just your test scores and GPA. They care a lot about what you do in your space times. Clubs or sports? leadership? experience? community work? hobbies and skills?

Depends on the school. More competitive schools look for all of the above, but then again I applied to a Maritime Academy looking for specifics.
