if you change the grid on one copy of blockland, you would destroy your blockland account because it would be incompatable with all the other copies of blockland, so, even though it is possible, it is very hard and would mess up blockland

The brick grid's single grid block's width is 1x1. Nothing can be flatter than 1x1s. So the thinnest wall you could make is a wall of 1x1s, or a 1x5x6, etc.

The grid is the reason that Blockland doesn't lag at 1000 bricks, like the old version.

Also it's pretty much impossible to change unless you wanna totally rewrite some stuff, which we can't do because we don't have engine access. I don't think Badspot is going to redo Blockland just for one request.

Plates still take up 1x1... they just take up less height. Did you even read his post?
