i need ps2 wireless controller help

i got a wireless controller for my ps2 for X-Mas...and im scared that the batteries will be running out when im not using it because sometimes that ps2 is off but my controller's power thing is still flashing like its being used will this make the batteries be ran down?or is it supposed to do that?

Depending on the brand, there should be a on/off switch somewhere on the controler.

There should be a switch, if you can't find one, you could result to desperately opening it up and yanking the batteries out.

Gamestop controllers are loving evil, i got one for my 360, its WIRED which the box said WIRELESS and its loving lethal when i hold the control the bottoms sometimes cut me, so i use the Defualt Wireless.
